We are looking for a person with strong program management expertise with the ability to collaborate and influence. In this role your primary focus will be driving workstreams from start to finish. About the Role This role be primarily responsible for the flawless execution of Workday's growing tier one events, inclusive of our flagship 15,000+ person Workday Rising. You will drive cross functional teams to deliver on the event's vision and strategy. You will be the main point of contact for overall event results and project success. In partnership with the Director, Marketing Events and Workday Marketing Events colleagues you will wrangle internal and external partners to flawlessly project manage against timelines. You will consider the attendee experience at every turn, ensuring each touchpoint strives to engage and empower our Workday Community members, alliance partners, employees, executive customers, and prospective customers throughout the Workday Rising event.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead overall event project timelines and plans in collaboration with Project Management Office (PMO) lead.Collaborate with internal (workstreams) and external (agencies) core team members, hold all partners accountable for process management, interdependencies and timely completion of results and goalsStrategically manage core program areas such as, site inspections, food and beverage, venue space allocation, registration and housing event strategyDrive agendas, prepare for and lead weekly team meetings.Partner with the event measurement lead on tracking and reporting on pipe and key important metrics pre/during and post event.Accountable for contracts and event budget in close coordination with Workday finance and procurement leads.Partner with Global Event Leads for sharing standard processes and driving consistency across global programming aspects.Collaborate with the Executive Symposium program lead to ensure a coordinated plan for joint success.Work with Workday security teams to develop a cohesive safety and security planBuild an Executive Experience support plan including an Executive Briefing GuideKeep up on industry trends and engage appropriate counterparts outside of Workday to gain best-practice knowledge About You Basic Qualifications10+ years corporate event experience, working directly for a SaaS-based B2B technology company.10+ years of experience in planning a varied event portfolio including user conference, executive programs, strategic sponsorships, tradeshows, thought leadership platforms, and other type of events is desired is a plus.Demonstrated leadership skills to have successfully led operations for large, matrixed and multi-layered conference on a global scale.5+ years of experience on events with 5,000+ attendees Experience with event technology systems including RainFocus, EventBase, JiffleNow and like systemsTravel required as needed for site inspections, planning meetings, and event execution (25% travel)Other QualificationsHighly proficient global budget management with a keen eye on scale and cost savings optionsProven use of technology tools for effective project management including Asana, Airtable, SmartsheetsSkilled collaborator capable of influencing decision making with internal teams and external vendorsOutstanding interpersonal skills - both written and verbal - comfortable championing projects internallyExcellent negotiating and contracting skillsSelf-motivated and resourceful, ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
